WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

For those who still feel that everything should be posted online...
What's even more sickening is how the pharmas are making a killing off the opioid epidemic. The Palm Beach County EMS Dept.'s budget for Fentanyl was a little over $19,000/year just a few years ago. With a modest decrease in the number of emergency cases, the budget has swollen to $280,000 as of last year. How you like them apples?

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I whittled down the collection a bit more.
Slowly but surely.
I still have 4 smartphones but two people are slightly interested. Hopefully I can get down to two by next week.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Same here. Although I don't put my current work on LinkedIn. So I guess it's fair that they ask for an updated resume.
Interesting.

As contractor I do so people know I'm working and my last company encouraged us to use it as well.

As soon as I start my contract I'll put my new position up so more French recruiters will see it.

My contract is only three months so why not keep an open door?

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I don't do it because I don't want recruiters calling me all the time. As it is I get plenty of calls. Just trying to be selective I guess. And not having the latest experience in LinkedIn helps me I guess. I do put my title and company name, just not the relevant work experience details at the current job.

I can appreciate that. Recruiters can be a pain.

The only reason I'm doing it is because I need French recruiters to know I'm working for future prospects. It's always the first one that's difficult to get.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Still waiting for the f***ing contract... I have a draft now but it's pretty useless for anything.

Damn company is operating in slo mo... It's not the recruiters fault here.

Sigh. They're probably wondering what's the hurry.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So for those not following international politics. The UK is completely messed up. Possibility of Primeminister change and general election. This with just over 100 days until Brexit. I can't help but laugh if it wasn't so serious.

In France, there's not much change with the protests apparently. They didn't seem overly thrilled with the president's promises.

The unfortunate side of this is that they are affecting the economy and oddly enough people's jobs. The protests of the people is doing more damage to France than anything the government did. Brilliant isn't it?

To be clear I get where these people are coming from but you can't have your cake and eat it too. There's always a compromise somewhere and they don't seem to understand that.

That last statement goes for Brexit as well.

Rue, the last person who made mention of eating cake during French civil unrest lost her head. If there’s a knock on the door, don’t answer.

Two weeks into my "unemployed/self-employed" phase... me and the missus to long road trip. Visit places we haven't been in quite sometime... for food and seeing some amazing monkeys

Appreciate the sentiment but I'm not in power or politics.

These French protestors want low taxes but all the social services still and extras. They somehow think that the rich should pay for everything. They also believe the government should force workplaces to give them increases.

Now, being honest. I get where they're coming from however in a free global market the government has zero ability to tell companies what to do.

Companies care about their shareholders, not their employees, sadly. They will cut where they can to appease these shareholders.

If your country is not appealing to companies then they won't invest in your country or the workforce there.

That's what these protestors do not understand. France is not appealing to companies, in general. It has a lot of reforming to do to make entrepreneurs and companies interested. France has had decades of decline because it won't or can't reform. That's the problem.

I'm not saying that France needs to turn into the USA it even the UK but it needs to make things easier to run a company.

Lastly, I'm not a globalist. I'm a big believer in local businesses and local jobs. That's a true economy but when a company or business can't run efficiently that's a true failing of the system. That's where France needs to change. Things can't stay the same as they are and people expect miracles to happen. It doesn't work like that.

The problem is there seems to be little enthusiasm to change.

Makes sense for you to keep your profile updated. I am not actively looking ergo I don't want these folks bugging me constantly.

The biggest weakness for me with this camera is the Pixel size. 1.0 microns leaves a smaller room for error. 20181212_182522.jpeg20181212_182407.jpeg20181212_175726.jpeg
