WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

The two people that remind me of what libra89 pulled off here are my best friend and my spouse. Both of these individuals would whine incessantly about how bad they did during the exams and of course when the results came out they would very much get an A and then of course feign ignorance as to how that was probably some sort of error.

My response - Yeah right!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Today has been one of the worst work days I can remember. The lying, backstabbing and lack of accountability is grating my cheese. I'm just glad that I'm entering the 7th inning of life and pitching a shutout. I'm gonna channel my inner Bob Gibson and drop the next a-hole that tries me.
#WipeoutWednesday.

Oh, you would have loved the transfer of supervisor's meeting between a colleague and my current time wasting supervisor. They both had to stay nice things about each other (and in their minds they would throw the other under the fastest Amtrak they could find). My supervisor is a bit of an unsupportive bully (EXACTLY like the last one I had). My colleague would push back, and so do I.

it's just the nerves and not giving themselves credit for their skills that's talking. I never take that seriously whenever I've seen it.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

The most common question I get:

Clients: "Hey man, it's after 5pm. What time do you finish work today?"

MIA: "After I'm finished with you, as you're my last person for the day."

While I appreciate their concern for my well being and acknowledging my dedication, this cracks me up on a practical sense because the longer they spend with me talking about this, the longer it takes for me to get off the clock - which is what they say they want for me.

In all fairness though, I'm particular as to who I schedule as the last person of the day, so...gotta be smart there too...

#workingwithseniors . Never a dull moment.

It sounds like you and MIA have a lot going down. I think you have a good plan here.

So, what are folks looking forward to in 2019?

I'm looking forward to being mostly done with grad school, seeing relationships grow, and seeing the program (not for school) I'm in also grow too.

I haven't thought about this enough, I might have other answers once I do.

Hopefully my house renovation being done. My parents visiting. Getting to know more people. Leaning more French.

I'm also looking forward to the adventure of living close to Paris and visiting often.

There's a possible trip to India for my wife's birthday. We haven't discussed it yet but it's something I know she wants to do.

Depending on how the year goes there's a possibly of paying our tiny mortgage off. But that's not the priority but would be nice.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Good luck with the road trip.

I had a quip in my head about the cat I was going to post but 99 has said I've hit my sauce limit for the next two weeks with Sahib's film comment earlier.
I thoght your comment in reference to the girl being compared to chalupa was a lot worse...

For the record, applying for entitlements is as frustrating as listening to a press conference in the current 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. At least the entitlements are a bit more useful.

While the concerns for abuse and waste are legitimate, there are far too many people who need that little extra temporary assistance than those who permanently camp out underneath the welfare teat.

When stuff like this happens, those who dislike the folks these services take care of will always find a way to spin it against the underserved.
