I see there's a measles outbreak happening in Washington state. To the point that one county is banning unvaccinated children from being in public spaces. Which I think it's good.
The anti Vax movement has become the biggest health issue of our time. Hard to believe we're here. Measles was considered abolished in the USA
I've never been a big fan of Oprah but by far the biggest mistake she made was giving Jenny McCarthy an audience. Then there's social media on top of that.
I don't call them anti Vax I call them pro disease.

WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!
Jenny McCarthy needed someone to blame. I know firsthand how debilitating it is to have an autistic child - I have one myself. Like Hans and Franz said “hear me now and believe me later”, my daughter was exhibiting symptoms loooooong before her 1st round of vaccines. These kids don’t need pity, martyr parents or especially a cause. They need unconditional love and a s**t load of therapy and early intervention. Sadly in the US, this population is a hindrance as witnessed by the budget proposals set forth by that witch Betsy DeVos.

If someone like me who was looking at a Mate RS/ Mate 20 Pro RS (and wanting it to be under $1K), having spent $900 on a phone back in the day, I don't think any phone is worth $1K.
Everything now is over $1K.

I have decided that I will give my mom one of my favorite phones, the Galaxy A3 to use as her phone when she travels to Nigeria. Her current phone (which was her first Android phone) is terrible.
The speaker sucks, the camera is I don't remember but this will work out well. It's mainly for calls and pictures and of course, battery life is great. I think she'll appreciate it. It apparently has all of the bands that work there, there's already an SD card.
I already flashed it to the correct version (I finally found the right firmware that this phone originally came with). I'm going to wait for the screen protector to come in and then present it to her.
Having just one phone is odd already. I'm going to seek a backup, I just have to decide what makes sense and how much I'll like to spend for it. I will go old but I'm considering if I should do an iPhone 7, 8, Pixel 2, maybe even a Xperia XZ2 Compact (ha...I could, but it seems to be more expensive than what I just listed) or something else that is kind of smallish. Not going to buy this now though. Maybe in a month or a couple of months.
Just something that isn't such a downgrade, isn't huge (can't be taller than the Pixel 2 really), isn't $$$ (considering it's purpose) and works on Vzw. lol

What bothers me most about anti Vax is that these people would rather their children die than get 'the autism'. Regardless that multiple studies have shown this to be completely false.
Of course it's not only about autism. They also see vaccines as poison. Because they have names of things they cannot pronounce or when they look them up they have scary side effects. Most don't seem to understand that quantity matters. Not only that but vaccines have evolved a lot to reduce some questionable elements. (They weren't questionable but it's all about image of course). Still the anti Vax groups go on about this nonsense.

As the current administration in the USA. Nothing surprises me much any more. Did you see that nonsense from Sen. Mike Lee? If that doesn't say there's a problem in USA politics nothing does.
Unfortunately in most countries those with disabilities are seen as such. The more right wing a government the more problematic they are. I've seen this from Canada to Australia to UK.

Xr is on work SIM so I have a burner SIM as well.
10e and Pixel 3XL are the burners but 3XL is Android Q tester so 10e is the true burner.
I am thinking of selling the 10+, Xr and using the 3XL and 10e but we shall see.

Finally got around to selling some of the horses in my stable. Got rid of the S8+, iPhone 8+ and Note 8. Bought (purely for gits & shiggles) the Xr. Nice little phone which has surprised me with the battery life. Don’t even notice the notch and the gestures are meh - won’t make me forget webOS anytime soon. But could someone please explain Face ID to me? Why must I still have to swipe up to unlock after the fruit recognizes my mug?
Anyhoo, now I have to tackle the tablet end of the barn. Surface Go 8/128, iPad Pro 12.9 and iPad 2018. The HP Touchpad is off limits, it’s probably going with me to my final destination. The Go is very good but the 9.7 iPad feels bigger due to better apps - in other words, buh-bye. The 12.9 is quite the unwieldy beast and not on-the-go friendly. It’ll be a tough choice all things considered.

I feel like you always have a Pixel in your set and that's been the case for years. The 3XL and 10e would be an interesting mix but I don't know how well the battery will meet your needs. The battery statement is for the 10e by the way.
