WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I figured not. I'll see eventually. At the moment, I'm trying not to be overwhelmed.
Ain't nothing overwhelming in the skin shop. There's a ton of obnoxious, but nothing overwhelming. At the end of the day, it's just people at work.

Ahh, that makes sense. I hadn't seen any news of bone headed moves recently, but I thought that perhaps you knew something that I didn't.
Oh, you want bone headed? The 10 people who bought the V35 will not receive the Android Q update as that phone isn't on the list, and the G7 is scheduled for fall of this year.

All this with the LG software center being open.

That's definitely bone headed, especially since the V35 is not any older than the G7! I don't remember if you have a V35. I hope you don't and aren't getting left behind on the update.

BTW, I had been under the impression that unlocked phones got updates quicker than carrier branded phones until the LG V20 experience. I also was under the impression that anything from Samsung was slow to receive updates. Thankfully, my perception has been proven wrong lately.

I still own a V35. I haven't unbricked it yet and with LG being LG, I may choose not to.

From a hardware perspective, the V50 is the best fit for me as a daily driver, followed by the Xperia 5. The V50 is hard to get and the Xperia 5 is too expensive still for what it offers. I'm very strongly considering a Mi Mix 3 5G for an intermezzo, as heavy as it is and that I may not get 5G. The Mi 9's design has grown on me, but I think the Mix 3 still has better cameras (OIS) even if the Mi 9 has the newer sensors. Need a flat screen for the daily and leave the fancy stuff for the Mate 20 Pro.

Bummer. That sucks. What was the cause of the brick?
Me haphazardly trying to update it from 8.0 to 9.0. It was an AT&T unlocked model I manually flashed the Google fi ROM on. Bits of the 8.0 software were still in partition, so when I flashed the Google fi 9.0 it bricked.

I could have gotten a V50 from Verizon but opted for the Samsung S10+ due to the fact that LG is so slow with updates, and the S10+ doesn't have a camera that is inferior to that of the V50. The V50 does have a better DAC, but the S10+ isn't that bad in terms of audio quality, so the pros outweighed the cons for me.

I thought I'd have trouble adapting to a curved screen, but surprisingly that wasn't a problem for me.

I'm not familiar with the Sony Xperia 5, since there isn't a model that works with Verizon. I hope you'll be able to get a Mi Mix 3 5G at a reasonable price. Please do let us know how you like it if you get it.

Ouch! I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you'll be able to flash the stock ROM and debrick it.

Heck, I thought you and Rue would be in tank tops and flip flops in 28 degree weather being the vets of the cold you both are...much less being in beach towels in 73 degree weather...
Probably would take me a couple of seasons in cold weather to get back to that kind of thing.

I don't miss the extreme cold and it's all relative anyway. 13C in Brisbane Australia would be parka weather, no joke.

One of my old sites has it for a great price. Just waiting on taking care of a few things before I purchase it.

I think that very few people enjoy extreme weather.

To Mr. Clue's point, lots of people liken floss in Florida and go for winter gear when the weather gets under 80 degrees. I've seen in person and it is too funny.
