Lastly, my work.

So, things have not been that great. The company I'm currently working for doesn't have much work and I was supposed to finish my contract at the end of this month. Due to some backlog I've been extended a month. So that helps.

At the same time I have been contacted by several agencies and I currently have two strong possibilities for a new job so we'll see how that goes.

This is the man who got spammed by job offers on LinkedIn, I'm sure you'll do more than fine. Good luck man!

Sitting here in the recliner listening to the sounds of spring coming from my neighbor, lawnmowers, weed eaters, and blowers.. Just the middle of march too. Guess I got to start this weekend. The weeds in the yard is outgrowing grass ten times faster.

It's been a while since it got silent here unfortunately. Different reasons for everyone I guess.

Me personally, it's just that I had the busiest semester of my life and barely managed my time.
My free time has become nearly nonexistent for the last few months. Owners want buildings erected in record times to avoid interest payments before converting construction loans to permanent. Rush, rush, rush and make me rich, I don't care if you live or die.

Just came back from a trip to the cooler climes of the mountains (Kundasang) to get away from the tropical heat. With the easing of Inter-District travels, its good to be able to move around a bit.

We stayed at a B&B, its very quiet. Covid has an enormous impact on the tourism, both international as well as local. People just cant/won't travel yet. We know the operator of the place, so it was good.

At its most busy, there would be several hundred climbers daily on Mount Kinabalu. Since the national park was reopen, it barely has 20-30 pax. Man, I wish I could do a climb, the last time I did it was back in 2011... My legs and knees are gone!!
We did a brief walk on the park grounds, very quiet. Its like having the huge place to ourselves. We had lunch at the only operating restaurant in the park.

Well I hope you're getting paid better for your extra efforts.

Work frustrations are just a few more steps away from me too. Can't say I'm looking forward to it.

Let me break it down for you how it’s done in “Murica.

“Paid extra? You ought to be happy you have a job with so many out of work”.

The US invented the disgruntled former employee who shoots up the workplace. That’s just a taste of what many here get to enjoy. Oh, and you better smile and be happy about it too.

Wow it's sad to see that it is this deserted. Even so, it sounds like the time away was nice for y'all.

It sounds very busy and in addition to the pandemic too, is a lot. I wish you good luck with it all.

Dang, what happened to this thread?

For me, 2 things. First, dealing with buying a home and the process of getting it ready to move in has been and is still is a thing. Also, sometimes I forget to check here. I check when I remember, so here I am with my stack of responses lol.

Man, these things do grow big. This is one of 40 loofas (at last count) that's dangling behind in my back yard.

I have planted 10 plants from seeds given by a neighbour. I let the vines climbs freely. Considering the size of the fruit, it grows up to 20 inches long, I found it pretty difficult to accurately count the number of fruits.

It looks like you have been doing the thing with the music! Nicee.

Oh yes, and my little “Creative Corner” has been evolving too! Just got the Novation Launchpad Pro MK3 and basically had to rebuild the whole studio around it.

Sadly, that's a reality here too. I said it before, I'll say it again, COVID actually bailed bad employers and companies. People were leaving jobs that were considered "good", for better opportunities in Germany and alike. Now they have to stick to what they've got.
