Morning. Damn work computer is crap this morning but then I realised that it's virus scanning day and that always slows the thing down, even though the scan doesn't happen until lunch time. :/

Talking about anti-virus Kaspersky End-Point installed on my work laptop freezes everything when scanning.

Ha! You have no idea. They use Symantec and our services are by IBM. I'm quite amazed I can even post on this forum. Patience is something you need around here..

Damn virus scan takes about 2-3 hours. Such a waste of time and resources.

Talking about anti-virus Kaspersky End-Point installed on my work laptop freezes everything when scanning.

I refuse to put any after market virus scan product on my personal computer. I only use Windows Defender on W8.1

I use NOD32 from ESET. It is lightweight.

Windows Defender is more than enough for home use IMO. I use it on my personal laptop running Windows 8.1

I also have Spybot for adware. It does a good enough job.
