There's a couple of conductors on the train I take who appear way too happy for so early in the morning. Serveral of us give the speaker a dirty look.

Sometimes it is nice to hear. Sometimes you just want the regular anonymity. But I'd rather the personal touch than the obnoxious any day of the week.

I feel the user will get a choice when they are setting up their new PC to what they want.

Yeah but if there isn't am sure there will be ways to disable it, but yeah there should be an option for when you do the initial set up.
