Nah, it's modern age now. Though some marriages are still affected by parents, but generally, arranged marriages are no more.

im not going into detail but it was something she motioned way before we were a thing. in a way she used her tradition( the Vietnamese tradition) . the day she got "caught " she said she couldn't be with me because of her tradition.
to this day I don't believe it but I trust her enough to buy it.

Maybe it was because of her family. There are still some strict and conservative parents who want there children to marry someone against their will. Just a minority, though.

as much as I would like to think it was like that there are things that don't add up with her story.
that's why to this day I honestly don't know what it is
so I left it like that and I hope her the best in everything . if she happy then ill be happy because that's all I wanted for her
