WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

The allure of trying new devices will always be strong. I suppose that's what makes me miss the old days. Still, **** gets tiring when you know what you want and are looking for the best version of that amidst a sea of flawed compromises. SMH indeed.

So one question I'd like to ask is: can we leave Mr. Clue's friend in Singapore? He clearly isn't welcomed in Canada and cannot visit London (or maybe even Paris after these past few days) anytime soon?

On second thought, send him back as the bill to keep him here is cheaper than it would be to leave him overseas. Talk about flying blindly/shoot first and never ask questions style leadership...

Someone should've taken my "friend" fishing with Fredo long ago. Just last night I was watching the tribute to Anthony Bourdain and it was the Vietnam episode when Obama dropped in for a visit. Just 2 guys eating rice noodles and drinking beer among the locals as if nothing. I miss class representing the US overseas.

We all know if it don't involve Eastern European models as potential playthings, your "friend" isn't interested. I wasn't surprised when he showed up late to the gender equality session at the G7 summit.

I can only agree on it being tiring, especially for you.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

The notch talk annoys me to no end.

I can believe that it does. I'm with Juan Carlos Bagnell though about it, no thanks. However, if the phone is the closest to my ideal, I can deal with it.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I really don't understand this whole notch argument. There is no OS that utilizes the upper central part of the display, it's a dead zone. The corners are used for battery icons, time/date and signal strength meters. So f*****g what if there's a notch to provide a place for the sensor array and front camera? B***h and complain about notches or b***h and complain about bezels.

I see that you and MIA are on the same page here. Valid points though, but I prefer (the illusion of) being able to hide it, as it looks more aesthetically pleasing when looking at the screen.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Speaking of notches, I met a 18 year old who has a iPhone X this weekend. Why is this noteworthy? It's noteworthy to me because this is the first person that I personally know who has one. I asked her if she uses FaceID and if she misses the button, she said no to both things.

I'm one of those people who gets shocked when someone that age range gets something like that. Even my parents thought it was crazy lol, so I guess one can see where I get the shock from.

(Her mom just decided to give her that.)

I'm playing devil's advocate here. Would hiding the notch and gaining a black bar seem more aesthetically pleasing while also losing screen real estate for the signal strength, battery and date/time icons? I'm Type A with a capital A so packaging efficiency is big in my book.

So what's it feel like being in a country that's slowly becoming a dictatorship? Apparently Fox and Friends is trying out the proper term but I thought it was supposed to be King Trump or Emporer didn't think dictator was the right term honestly... At least not to his face.

So your 'president' is shunning Western leaders in favour of dictators and telling the lies that his base will believe. Good luck guys. Hopefully come September will begin the down fall...
