The reasons why she isn't a fan is because of physical things and not because of the man he is or his character or the way he treats me, which is silly, so I plan to continue on.

As a parent, the things you mentioned are what's most important to me. I want to be able to go to sleep every night and not have to worry about my child. I know I've said it before and it bears repeating, follow your heart. It has the world's best GPS.

Thank you. See, you get it, and I appreciate that perspective greatly.

We get along really well and he's very supportive of me. This is a guy who I told him that I'm struggling with this paper (or I was anyway) and he gave me a suggestion and then offered dinner after this thing is due as a initiative. We seem to share the same values too. Maybe not exactly, but enough of them. He's very intelligent and I have no need to dumb myself down. I could go on but I'll stop there. There's no sensible reason to end this. If/When it makes sense, that would be a different story.

You'll find your way. At the end of the day, there are a ton of people who make each other happy and the other's family hates their guts out.

While if someone gets deep into a relationship, you're getting to know the person's family - you're not always dating them. In Western culture, you date the person and fit the family in. That has its pros and cons.

I swallowed my latest software update on the smartphone thing and got a S9+ as well. I do like the Samsung phones hardware wise. Will just have to compromise on the software.

Cool. Good luck with that. Plenty of deals around. If I we're going for Samsung hardware wise, I'd get a S9 + a Gear S3 silver.

This may come across as brutish but I say eff the family. They won't always have your back when you need it the most. Your partner, if the right one, will always man the sails even in a storm. Especially in a storm.

I've decided officially on the next tablet. I am hopeful I can order it next week and will post pictures of its arrival. As much as I enjoy using the Mi Mix 2 in that manner, I need better battery life and a bigger screen.

Still have the new phone itch. If someone sent me a Nokia 8 for $250, I'd find a way to use it.
