The V30 DAC was really good but it drained the battery as well.

Well, you don't need to have everything enabled to have a good audio experience. I only use the DAC and not the surround sound as well. Also, i have decided to be very light on my installs and use the screen at 1080P.

One of the things i do not like with these super narrow phones is the typing experience. My mitts are big enough to type one handed. Now I'm doing a lot more two-handed typing.

This is one thing I am really liking on the Mate 10 Pro. Oh and swyping tends to work really well on Gboard now.

This is one thing I am really liking on the Mate 10 Pro. Oh and swyping tends to work really well on Gboard now.

I really liked what Huawei did on the Mate 10 series. It was one of the reasons why i wanted a V35 over the G7.

I saw a woman so vested in using her 10XS Max one the train that her purse fell on the floor from her lap and for 30 seconds remained unattended until someone picked it up for her.

However the one they made for the Pixel 2XL last year was pretty bad. Also Google's tuning was spectacularly crappy since the V30 looked much better than the Pixel 2XL.

Wow. While that is a big phone, I'm amazed that she was okay with letting that happen. I fear embarrassment and of course, having the contents of my purse spill out.

They recovered nicely this year on the Pixel 3. To me, that highlighted their screen chops.
