So we see Huawei in the news again.

The question is: what are consumers thinking about the real issues here? I have always thought that there has been a little shadiness in their practices. Not much more shadiness than other conglomerates, but you could see it there. Now, on the consumer side, would I own a Porsche design Huawei? Sure. On the business side, what's the real intent behind their communications tech? Is it a back-door for the government? I don't know. In a world where authoritarianism is slowly on the rise, these are legitimate concerns to be had.

You're right. My heart wanted to break reading that he was amazed that he was able to do a citizen's arrest without being arrested himself but then I feel him. I get the surprise, which sounds like "What?!" without context.
As you said, we can't not be aware.
