I'm thinking of either getting a V40 or Xr via the Costco T-Mobile promotion tomorrow. An outside dark horse might be the S9+. I'll make up my mind after I talk with the rep at the store.

If my memory is correct, the last LG camera you liked was the G4. I suspect the V40 won't fare well for you in that department.

I'll have to see what the Nokia 9 is. Lots of rumours not much substance.

Not sure what I think of the 5 lens camera if true. Looks a touch ugly.

Need to wait for reviews. Not entirely sure I want a first revision flagship from them with an oddball camera.

I'll see what happens with tech next year. The prices have got silly so not sure what to buy.

As I said though, I'm in no hurry.

Actually there's a certain type of lottery no one wants to win.

There's a short story by Shirley Jackson called The Lottery. I'm sure the story represents actual events at a certain period of humanity. Though it wouldn't surprise me if they still happened.

So weather is pretty crap here. Cold, windy, and rain. Makes for a fun time.

I'm still waiting for things. I'm little tired of it but apparently I'll have my context sometime this week. I won't hold my breath.

We're still apartment hunting. The one we liked got taken by someone else so we're a little stumped at what to do. There's not much on the market and what's there is not that nice.

Don't really want to do the Airbnb thing. Too unstable for anything more than a couple of weeks.

We're not big fans of apartments but there's not much else available that doesn't cost a fortune to rent.

I wish I could just win the lottery. Would make life easier.

I hope that you get some stability soon with finding a place that works for you.

Yeah I read it in highschool as well. Possibly year 11. It's not a story for young people. I think there was a movie or TV movie about it as well.

We're trying. I'm hoping this week things settle down. I got my insurance sorted but still no contact and no apartment.

Found another place and we're hoping to get that. It's a private rental which I'm always cautious about but so far they seem nice enough. It's more expensive but it's a duplex with a garden which is good for the cat.

I closed out a year of grad school and did pretty well. I'm still waiting on a final grade (I have gotten As on my assignments, final exam included(!) and one B but I didn't talk much and I missed a class so I'm really hoping that I can keep my A in the class) but I'm glad that I got an A from the professor who doesn't give out A+.

I feel like I have figured out the balance of school things and life but this semester was interesting since I began seeing someone around the beginning and had a new role that was passed on to me (and a friend) due to unexpected circumstances a month and some later, and in that order. All of the talk I had to deal with about my decisions (which was just noise anyway in the end), was a waste.

I'm just thankful that I was able to do this and that it was done well (and that the life things survived, which is something I worried about). I went from wondering if I belonged here to having enough of a handle on it. You guys (MIA, 99 and Rue) were right.
