I've decided to give the Pixel a stay of execution. Using the Note 9 and its version of Android 10 has left a semi-sour taste in my mouth akin to a $5 bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. I may be in the minority but I prefer Google's gestures on 10 than Samsung or Sony's. I know we had a brief discussion on skins a few posts ago and this is a prime example of individual tastes deciding a phone's fate. Played a little with a Note 5 I keep for a spare and wondered why that phone didn't at least get Oreo. It's one of the few phones that felt good in hand bareback. Maybe I just miss 16:9 displays. I might just say f*** it and find a Note FE on the internets as W would say.

Surprised you never tried Sony's best of 2018 - XZ2 premium. That camera...and it was unabashedly 16:9. Not trying to give you ideas, really.

I had thought about the FE myself, but like the Mate RS, it got too rare and too overpriced.

I always found the XZ2P too pricey - even for a Sony. Also, it suffers from the same FPS nightmare of the XZ2 version for peasants.

I saw some Swappa ones in the $400-$450 range at one point that were quite tempting. Yes, the FPS was a cluster**** position-wise. Every thing else I personally liked, especially that camera. It did look good in that chrome.

Don't blame you for skipping it though.

(on a side note, why did he choose to make the brown girls half naked, but the non brown one only with the top slightly open when he changed them? As if brown is so free wheeling that anyone can easily get into it.)

I mean, it's got a TON I like. A TON - on paper. I thought Qi was in, but even if that's out, it is feature packed. But for $1200? Sony picked the wrong time to be Sony if true. Wish they would have snuck that in at say $1050, but that's just me.

It's why I'd be interested in the Xperia 5 II if they just shrunk it down with a 1080P screen and a 3650mah battery - Qi or no Qi. Camera needs to seriously perform though, target audience or not. Sony being Sony might price that at $1000. Yikes.

If this price is true, I'm worried about the V60. LG had the VZW V50 around $1000 last year, so...I don't know. If I try it in store and I find I don't like the in hand feel or it's too large for my taste of its too pricey, I may hunt for a V50. I'm not feeling the pricing scheme for 2020.

People are gonna be up in arms once Oneplus starts charging near $1000 for their kit...
