Week 2: Dropping the HTC 8x for the Lumia 521 - thoughts

I am in my 2nd week with the Lumia 521. I decided to retire the HTC 8x in lieu of and see how it goes. And I have to say, I am not at all disappointed! The only REAL notable difference (other than the size) is the lack of flash. I solved that problem by not shooting in the dark

I do wish the freaking capacitive buttons were lit - but I am learning to live without that.

Nokia did a great job honestly.

Of course I will ditch the 521 for the 925 - just don't tell me wife...I already cannot explain my phone obsession!

How's going from HD to SD or from 16:9 to 15:9? I was considering trading my 8X for the 925 but the 15:9 killed it for me.

^ I thought that 15:9 is the superior aspect ratio as it is more compatible with legacy apps and it isn't "too long" (like the iphone5)

Well the iPhone 5's aspect ratio is the same as the 8x at 16:9. But the iPhone is only a 4 incher while the 8x is 4.3

I sold my 920 and got the 521. My two biggest complaints are that the screen is to narrow and having only 8gbs, I only have 4 gb left after just putting the apps I use on it. I'll put in a memory card it for sure for pics and music .

Did you notice a difference going from 720p down to a lower resolution? I've found I'm incapable of downgrading resolution because I start to see the pixels and it drives me crazy.

Story of my life bro, my studio monitors just blew and that was $300 for repair and she's bitchin' little does she know ima add on my 925 purchase to that in a month I'm scared ****less at how mad she's gonna be lol.
