Weekly photo contest: Nightlife

I shot this on my Lumia 1020 during winter, while I was standing around this fire in the metallic barrel with my company. A very old scale is sitting next to the modern canvas. The graffiti on the canvas was painted by Jasone, an old-school graffiti artist of Greece. I like this photo as it seems to mix modern with classic and shows a slightly different view of town's nightlife.

Shot on my Lumia 1020 and edited in Fotor Windows 8.1 metro app.

My Nightlife entry, a bat on our local field, captured with my new Lumia 930 in video mode and then as a screenshot. The quality may not be the best but capturing a bat at night isn't the easiest thing to do.

This was shot handheld with a Lumia 1020, in France, during the night of Bastille Day (14th of July, our national day). People were invited to walk around the village where we spent a couple of days, walk with torches, and when it was totally dark, we had fireworks + party :)

Taken at a Muse concert. I'm not a fan (at all really), but my girlfriend is, so I tagged along both as ride and photographer. While she was singing and dancing her *** off, I caught it all :) The pic is from the Stadium Tour visiting Werchter Belgium, and I have to admit, even though the music isn't my kind of thing, the show + stage were absolutely kick-***.

Even though I was impressed with the quality of the images when back home, what really amazed me was the quality of the videos I shot, so as a little extra:

(edit) Apparently I didn't have enough posts yet to post links, so I'll just do this: youtube.com/watch?v=Gy375mo_LeM

Late night trip. Unedited photo taken with Nokia Camera app using my Nokia Lumia 920.

Really amazing night shots posted so far.
My contribution is a quick snap of one of my favourite Thai restaurants. They had a nice light feature that was screaming to have its photo taken. Food is great too!

Taken with Lumia 1020
Auto-fix and crop, using built in MS edit tool
Location, Chat Thai Haymarket Sydney Australia

This is a tough one. I'll say nightlife is about outdoor big scale art installations. Other than that is usually sipping vodka martini ;)
Art Net with LED lights. Shot on Lumia 900, Edited on Creative Studio.

Unedited photo taken with Nokia Camera app on my Lumia 920.
Southern lights. Taken during our family tour in Cebu City, Philippines.

image.jpg Attempted the 'artistic' nightlife shot. This is a picture of Felixstowe Port across the river from me. One of the biggest, if not the biggest, container ports in the United Kingdom. Took with L920 with Lumia Camera with manual focus and an edited ISO and shutter speed which has since slipped my mind! Edited in creative studio using the filter aptly named 'nightlife'. Good luck to all entrants and congrats to the winner of the last competition! Screenshot on iPad from onedrive!

Phone: Lumia 925
Default Camera with Default Settings
No Editing was done 100% Original

This photo was taken on 4th of July weekend at HOGAN'S BEACH Tampa, FL, DJ Carnage was performing and it was an Amazing night! (Hulk Hogan was also present behind all those ladies)

Lumia 810, Nokia Camera Beta, exposure not recorded, but way underexposed.
This is from our friends' deck in Oxnard Shores, CA looking over houses at the annual 4th of July
fireworks show put on by the city. The image was barely visible as I unintentionally underexposed it a lot, but
I liked what I saw except the red and yellow was pretty muted so I enhanced it then added tons of saturation and contrast using Fotor and then added Vibrance and Clarity with Lumia Creative Studio and finally "posterized" it using Panagraph.
