My family and I were strolling around Paradigm Mall, Malaysia where I stumbled upon a colourful "kolam" (form of painting which is drawn by coloured rice during the Indian Festival of Lights).
This texture is the bark of the Black Box tree in Australia. The Latin name for Black Box is Eucalyptus largiflorens and is a common tree among the River Red gums that line the Murray river which is the forms a part of the largest river system in Australia, the Murray-Darling system.
The photo was taken with a Nokia Lumia 920 with only cropping to fit my phone
Taken with my Lumia 920. I used Irfanview to edit and enhance. I liked the texture of the paint on the concrete that had holes where the paint didn't catch. On closer examination, the short wall was pocked with them all the way down. I thought it was a compelling contrast between the painted concrete and the unpainted concrete. I increased the saturation and such to bring out the colors of the leaves already showing fall as well as the late afternoon shade.
This picture was taken at Disneyland, California Adventure. I wanted to take 'self-portrait' in the reflection of a sculpture of Stanley from cars. It was taken with a Nokia Lumia 1020 and the Nokia Camera app to reframe the image for this contest. The original image shows the entire sculpture.
Took this photo on my Lumia 920 whilst out walking one winters morning. Tried to capture the contrast in textures between the walked and unwalked part of the path.
A section of the Berlin wall at the Estrel hotel Berlin, taken with a Nokia Lumia 920 with no post editing. The history of the Berlin wall makes good reading.
Old Tombstone in the Wicklow Mountains National Park, near Dublin, Ireland.
I love the contrast between the dark, aged stone and the colorful lichens.
Captured on my Lumia 925, edited and cropped with Adobe Photoshop Express.
I accidently dropped my phone one day later (LCD broken), so this is one of its last pictures.
