What are your upgrade intentions now that supposed Windows Phone 8 details are out?

Yeah, this is tough. I'm due a phone now, and in Canada, there's nothing to get. I need a new phone, so I don't want to wait a while year until Apollo phones make it up here.

I considered just getting a second hand focus to tide me over, but people are asking $250 for a used, carrier-locked phone. That's crazy!

My upgrade isn't until August but ill wait until the Apollo crop comes out HTC titan what ever at that time I really want a big screen.

Guess what comes with Apollo? Possibly more bugs/issues since it's a pretty big upgrade. Then after Apollo comes Apollo.5 with 20 more features. Then Pablo and then Marco and then Boffo. Just get something now because when it's time to upgrade again there will still be new hardware/features. There will ALWAYS be new hardware/features. But if you keep putting it off, not only do you NOT get to enjoy it now but you also don't help the platform grow. Right now WP7 needs activity more than anything.

I intend to wait and get an "Appolo" phone but thats because my contract doesn't end till April this year. Anyhow, I don't see why one cannot upgrade from a WP 7.5 2nd gen phone to "Appolo". Surely, it will meet all the specs - the only reason why not would be because of the greedy cariers who might block this.

If T-Mobile picks up a 4.3in screen device by April I'll be picking that up. If not then I'll just hold onto my HD7 until the 3rd Gen devices show up next fall.

I voted wait for Apollo but due to recent developments at work I'm on the verge of being able to afford to buy phones off contract, so I dunno. Before this development, though, I had no chance of an upgrade before 2014. By then WP will be 16 core 5 terahertz processor with nuclear 18000000000mah battery and 2160p res screen.

I got my Trophy off eBay last fall to try out WP7 and I know at this point my next phone on contract will be a new windows phone. Being on Verizon though, I'm resolved to knowing I would be waiting awhile to see some new windows phones on big red. So, I can probably wait out through the year for Apollo and upgrade then. For now I'm still very happy with my trophy.

The trophy is actually a better device than I thought, it has a nice S-LCD screen and the 3.8" doesn't seem as small as I thought it would.

LOL at Boffo.

I'm with Sprint so I'll probably still have my Arrive for the next 4 years or more since it'll probably be the only Windows phone they offer..........

I think the thing to keep in mind is that WP8 might be released in fall 2012, but when will *devices* be released? If the past in any indication it will be a few months after the software is finalized until devices hit the market. For me, I currently have the Arrive on Sprint. The device is fine, but the carrier leaves A LOT to be desired, so I'm jumping ship to AT&T and Nokia 900 LTE goodness. I have a hard time believing that a WP8 device will hit the market before early 2013, and I'm not willing to wait that long.

Upgrade to one of the WP8 devices after upgrading to the Lumia 900 in March =)
