For years I been looking for a laptop to handle digital art (Wacom or N-Trig) , video editting and small amounts of 3D animation. Up until now I've been unsatisfied.
1. Summer 2014 I had the 14" SONY VAIO FLIP and the battery life was too short at 3 hours max, so I sold it.
2. Winter 2014, I purchased the THINKPAD HELIX 1.0. I sold it because I just an overall unrefined product.
3. Spring 2015 I bought the SURFACE PRO 3. Kept it for almost the whole year. The PC was nice overall, but the Screen was too small so I sold it.
4. Fall 2015 Eager to try a different brand while awaiting the SURFACE PRO 4's unveiling, I tried the LENOVO THINKPAD YOGA 14, because it was lightweight while having discreet Graphics. It was pretty great but I couldn't keep it do to lack of Wacom technology.
5. Winter 2015 I purchased the Surface book i7 / 16GB / 512GB SSD. Its Amazing, EXEPCT Although I've done all available firmware and software upgrades, it still freezes (GPU Error of a black screen) minimum once per day. Its been almost one month since purchase, which is well over best buy's grace period, so I cant return it now. I do hope it's fixed.
