What happened to the 32gb version of the 1520?

My current AT&T contract expires soon and I've been thinking of switching from Android to Windows and was looking at the 1520. My local AT&T store told me that the 32gb version was only available online but I couldn't find it and when I asked AT&T via chat I was told it is only available in 16gb.

Have they stopped making it in preparation of a new device running Windows 10?

Nobody knows when a purpose built Win 10 flagship will appear. It's only rumor and speculation. 1520 production does seem to be running down or halted for all variants.
