What is Clear Black LCD?

On an article on the main page, it said the L710 is now showing up on Tmob's website. It also gave the specs of the phone, saying it will have a Clear Black LCD. I can understand how an AMOLED screen can be CB, since there isn't a back light, but is it really possible for a LCD screen?

Thanks. I Googled "Clear Black Display LCD", but everything that returned still said AMOLED. I had never noticed it on anything except the SAMOLED screens, so I just assumed that it had to do with having a darker backing or even less light being emitted on the black areas.
