What is everyone going to be using their SP3 for primarily?

Real Answer: Primarily art and video editing. I need to be able to continue working while on the go.

Since this is going to be a replacement for my tablet and ultrabook PC needs, it'll be doing quite a bit. Mostly media consumption in tablet-mode and general purpose productivity in "ultrabook mode" with the type cover. Plenty of typing, surfing, e-mail checking, going over training materials, sys admin type things (AD, SCCM, RDP, etc), etc.

Then when I'm feel ambitious, I'm going to see how it handles some light gaming and VM's. Not super important, but would be handy on occasion when I don't have my larger notebook or desktop nearby.

It should do VM's fine I think, my 2nd gen i3 laptop with 4gb of ram can run an XP 1gb ram virtual machine no problem, and its nowhere near as powerful as surface pro 3

Completely replace current laptop (without gaming, I already had a gaming rig at home lol).
Photoshop, Lightroom, web surfing, video, music, document, visual studio, sql etc... within a small package :3

About gaming, I play diablo 3 and torchlight 2 on it. That's enough for portable gaming

Nothing hardcore. Just some spreadsheets for my personal finances, surfing the net, occasional Word documents and light gaming. For serious gaming, I got my desktop for that.
