What is this on my lock screen?

So, I've been seeing this multiple times now when I plug in my charger and rest it down on some occasions. It kinda looks like a DOT view display; but I don't have that cover screen. I just would like to know if anyone else have seen this an is this a feature or a bug.

I noticed the same thing when I laid my phone on top of my tablet .... I suspect the magnet on my tablet case (for the kick stand ) was the cause.
I would move the phone away (went back to normal...laid it back and that screen appeared ?? magnetic interference ??) not sure ?? I notice the money behind the phone ? is it a magnetic money clip ?? (just a thought)

The dot view case works by a magnet touching the phone...I had my phone sitting on top of my dot view case (had taken it off temporarily) and the dot view screen showed up even though the case wasnt on the phone but it was sitting on top of it.

It's definitely the Dot View mode.

Yes. The money clip is magnetic. Good catch. So, is this some sort of glitch?

Ok. I didnt think that interference should cause this type of behavior. Better engineering should have prevented this.

The Dot View case works by a magnet...you cant make special magnets for electronics. A magnet is a magnet. How else do you propose the phone be able to tell when the case is closed?

I cant think of any other way to do it and the fact they are using magnets in electronics is pretty interesting. Just dont put your phone on a magnet lol.
