WPCentral Question

Hey WPCentral users . I am a ATIV S user and wants to switch to Lumia due to the amazing stuff Nokia offers to windows phone users , specially the camera . And I am a photographer , so .... The thing is I love Lumia 1020 so much , but I want to buy a 930 because it's newer and has a huge specs , but am afraid if I bought the 930 , the successor of 1020 Which is 1030 comes out , and I would be so disappointed, so any suggestions if to buy the 930 or wait for 1030 ?

Wait for the 1030. The 1020 (as will the 1030) has a larger sensor, multielement Carl Zeiss lenses, ability to shoot in raw, and just phenominal camera. My wife broke her 1020 and the insurance company was out of 1020's. She played around with the 1520 (same camera as 930) and she was instantly disappointed.

No-one knows but many believe the WP in teenage mutant ninja turtles is the 1030. If that is true than probably sooner than I would have suspected.

I had a 1020 (actually had two of them!) for about a year and had the same thing happen... I broke it, and the insurance company sent me a 1520 as a replacement. I was worried that I would miss the camera on the 1020, but had quite the opposite experience. The camera in the 1520 (and 930/Icon) uses the same exact oversampling Pureview technology as the 1020... only a smaller sensor (20MP instead of the 41MP) you still get the "multielement" Carl Zeiss lenses, the RAW/DNG capability, and just an overall amazing camera! I was quite impressed as the 1520 takes just as good photos as the 1020, but smaller full resolution. The oversampled 5MP images coming from both the 1020 and 1520 are virtual indistinguishable to the naked eye. The only thing I miss from the 1020 is the Xenon flash.
Other than that, the 1520 is better in every way...
