What will Cortana sound like?

Jen Taylor is being uses for some prerecorded phrases. She hasn't finished recording all possible phonemes with a ton of different inflections. That will take a while.

For now, MS has tried to tweak the current voice to sound a little like Jen Taylor's.

Digital voices aren't going to sound like real voices for a long time. The technology isn't there and Jen is going to have a hard time going through every phoneme. For example, there are several different /p/ sounds in english. Some have air with them and some don't. Then the computer needs to be told where those sounds go and when. To be honest. It's a lot of work, so only some key phrases will be in Jen Taylor's voice. Cortana is also being released as a beta, so that is another thing to be aware of.

I don't know about that. It's getting hard to figure out who's a bot when you call customer service now a days.

With all the videos of Cortana in action it doesnt have the voice of Cortana (from the ones I have seen) Is she not done recording for Cortana??

Cortana is still in BETA..!!
