Whatever happened to that Twitter Beta app?

MONTHS ago, Daniel Rubino showed us Twitter Beta. Months ago.... is it ever going to come out? Especially since me and many other users have stopped being able to get notifications from Twitter, it would be nice to have that back.

I guess msft is waiting for most of wp8 devices to be on wp8.1... When the share of wp8.1 is higher they will release that twitter app

But the app is made by Twitter, not MSFT.
