What's the single most frustrating thing about the Microsoft Band for you?

Kevin, just wondering if you've recorded the workouts you did in rehab on the Band? I think phone app does quite a bit of post-processing and may end up doing something like removing the anomalies and interpolating with the more accurate readings. Even if my observation holds...it's still a little frustrating that the real-time workout readings can be off by so much. On the other hand it's what I hear over and over again about optical-based HR tracking.

Yes Matt I have the band in Exercise mode while I am at the rehab center. The apps do smooth it out a little but there are still crazy peaks that I know are not happening. Oh yeah and the calories burned calculations are pretty bad too. 450 calories to walk 2 miles at an easy pace. I wish!!! Still overall I love the band and expect that Santa will be bringing me the new one.

Ok this my second week with Ms Band

I used it on treadmill this am during my first 10 min - I kept the speed stable (9) and 15 min onward - I I kept on increasing the speed every 2/3 min and ended with 15.9 after 50 min.

I ran my heart out during last 15/20 min

At the end of the Run - I checked the health app for info - What i saw was made me sick.

During first 10 min - I saw a Cheetah, During last 20 min .... I saw a Snail. I almost threw MS Band from the 4th floor window in my Gym ...then again I paid ?99.00 for it, I hope MS can make it more accurate with Treadmill use

Don't people actually have anything good to say any more?

The Band is a one year old, mature for the category product. People who are happy with it at this point aren't going to be hitting the forums and looking for answers.

Also, it is a first gen Microsoft product so I know I would expect some glitches. What the Band has going for it is the $99 price. When it works (and I think it does for most people) it is better than most of the other $99 fitness options out there once you get past the aesthetics of the device. :) The only thing it really lacks is the social aspect of a Fitbit product. If your friends are using Fitbits, you'll probably want to get a Fitbit too.

I love my band.....but keeping it connected to my Win10 Icon is very hard at times. It doesnt seem to like the 10856.11 build.

I am getting crazy readings when running--, I checked against two other monitors and it is about 30-40 BPM higher than the other two-- resting is not off-- I wonder if this is a warranty issue?

I sometimes get readings of 180-190 bpm just walking around so it isn't a surprise. Just shrug it off. The Band isn't a medical grade device. The off numbers wreck your VO2 max number though.

My main peeve with the Band is the battery life. C'mon Microsoft, shoot for 3-5 days.
