C'mon MICROSOFT!!!!!! DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS! MY PHONE L1520 IS DEAD AFTER DOWNGRADING FROM WIN 10 to WIN 8.1 USING WPRT!!!!!! WHAT A STUPID SOFTWARE PUTS MY PHONE DEAD. CAN'T EVEN TURN ON BY CHARGING THE PHONE.

1) Not Microsoft's fault you didn't heed the warning that the preview may incur data loss, bricked devices and may prevent you from making calls etc.

2) You got no one to blame but yourself for trying it on the 1520 as you could have gotten yourself and a cheap L630 or 520.

If the phone is not detected in the device manager and doesn't boot into the bootloader or vibrate when plugged into a pc / charge or load up into a red screen (bootloader) than it is completely fried.

If however it recharges, is detected under device manager or loading up in the bootloader.

First try the lumia recovery tool with the usb cable which came with the phone as that is a factory cable.

If the above method fails then there are other steps to may get it working, which involves flashing the phone using the Navifirm by following the steps detailed here:

How to fix a bricked Nokia Lumia 920 - WMPoweruser

Substitute with model with the L1520 - make sure you download the correct rom - you should find the RM number here -

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Packages\Products - presuming you are using Windows 7 or 8.x however if your XP do a search for *.ffu and load up that directory.

Calm down, Microsoft is not responsible for any damages caused by their software, simply because you agreed to their terms. Try using WPRT again but click on "My phone was not detected" and disconnect every USB device except for your phone, go through the steps or wait until it gets finished.

Just to be clear... This is a user based News and Discussion site. It is in no way run by Microsoft, Lumia or any developer. "Yelling" here may make you feel better, but it is not being heard by Microsoft.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your 1520...

What the hell did you test a pre-release piece of software on an expensive flagship phone like the 1520 for to begin with? That's "Don't Do This 101" stuff there, friend.
