Whatsapp is back on wp8

It's issue with all platforms running Whatsapp. Nothing specific to WP. My friends on droid and fruits can't do it either. Everyone is disconnected.

Nope, this isn't the first time Whatsapp server have choked to death. This is at least 6th time in 2012 itself!
Whatsapp support always are "working on it".

Yes, it doesn't set profile pictures. You are not alone. It's another lame job from underskilled devs at Whatsapp, nothing new.

Perhaps not the easiest thing to keep up with the everly increasing usage of this app? 200-300 million users currently...

They are charging more than 60% of them on other OSs. With that kind of money getting a decent dev team and servers is the basic investment one would have thought.

I've been using Kik and it's been keeping me and my old iOS associates connected quite well. Does Whatsapp do anything different?

Tried that. Its not easy to move about 30-35 people to a totally new IM client. Plus to give the reason "because it sucks on my WP"?
