I have a Lumia 925 with Windows 8.1 update 1 with all the latest updates.

It has a very good idle battery usage.

But under too much apps it gets very hot.

Today I observed that when I was using Whatsapp It ges to much hot and some times not.

I tried some tests and this is my summary.

1. Whatsapp open, without the keyboard over the screen and the phone is cool.

2. The same conditions but I left open the keyboard as if I was going to type. After some minutes it gets very hot. If I close the keyboard the phone is getting cooler and cooler.

Could you try this and confirm the test?

CPU usage... put in simple terms its cause when you pull up the keyboard, it thinks you are going to type & the predictive keyboard function starts causing the cpu to start heating up.
