Whatsapp photo's sometimes not opening but on android they are

I have a family group in whatsapp. Sometimes I can't open a photo on my windows phone but an other group member with an android phone can.
Someone any idea what is the problem?

there is some problem with your device. try to download whatsapp for pc and browse the photos.

Thank you for your answer. Does anybody know what's wrong with my device (lumia 820 with preview for developers, cyan not yet available) and how to solve this?

It is likely that the problem isn't with your device, it is with the Whatsapp application.

Email the developers, they are pretty helpful and friendly.
