I have win 10 build 10586.164 on my Lumia 820 (via Insider) and when I try to add an email account, the only choices offered are: Outlook.com, Exchange, Google, Nokia Mail, Yahoo Mail, IBM Notes traveler and iCloud. I wish to set up my pop3 account with my service provider which I already have running om my Win10 PC. I was able to do this before from Win 8.1. No "Other" is offered! How do I do this?

This is strange. I have the options "IBM", "Other" and "Advanced setup" to choose from. Have you tried scrolling down the page?

Well what is the email client? Is it Windows 10 mail? The mail app is Windows 10 wasn't offered in Windows 8. Your email setup in determined by the email cleint. The windows 10 on my PC allows you to select other as I was able to select POP3. You can also look in the store for another email client. One I have on the Surface is Touch Email.

Thanks. I scrolled down and there was "Other".. So I set up the email account, clicked Advanced and put in all my pop3, smtp info etc and it said that it was set up., but when I checked "messages", it said no messages and yet I know there are emails on my service providers mail server. Any further help would be welcome. I also have an iPhone, and when I checked emails, I got several! Is there an icon for emails on the 820?

I would go the the email site and verify all the settings are correct port, server. Typically if the setting are wron you would get an error an it wouldn't just not dlwnload the emails.

Change sync settings and also change download emails option as per your requirement
