When I click the Cortana icon on the taskbar, the search box disappears. How do I fix it? thanks

I just tried tweaking some of the settings in windows 10 just so to optimize it but then this happened. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Welcome to Windows Central. Would like to know the tweaking things you did. Windows 10 doesn't need to be optimized.
W10 has lots of ways to recover. I would try to restore to a earlier time before you started tweaking. If you need more help, please join the forum
