When will we get VLC on RT ARM devices?

All apps suck to play MKV or you have to pay.

If you have a PC or Mac, you can use HandBrake to convert .mkv to another format. HandBrake is free.

If i go to the web store for Windows 8 i can find it, it automaticly opens it in the app store on my Surface 2, however, i read it is only for x86 and x64 soc's, and if i press install, after a few moments it gives me an error .... don't know why .... I just think the app is pulled from the store for RT device's, sick of this

Yep , can find in web store, it goes to my store on the Lumia 2520, and does not install. Where is the RT version??

GOM player, not VLC...just checked VLC, and still not showing up on my Lumia 2520 store. Is it still "being published", for 3 days now?

I just hope it wasn't a mistake in the press-release that the RT version is also available...

VLC for Windows RT is finally available for Surface RT and Surface 2 users | Windows Central

Link to download included in article. It's available for all RT devices even though the title only mentions Surface.

MKV has been supported in the basic Windows RT video application for months. The update came last year I think. You don't need VLC.
