When will X get the official WP8.1 update?... again... and again... and again

We're getting a lot of these threads all over the place, and it seems we aren't all dealing with it in the same way.

To the best of my knowledge, there are two forums where we collect these repeated questions:

• Ask a Question
• Windows Phone 8.1 (not in the Windows Phone 8.1 preview for developers forum)

Any such post outside the 'Ask a Question' forum should be merged into the sticky thread in the 'Windows Phone 8.1' forum. Right?

This is correct as far as I'm concerned. Ideally we need a sticky that tells people what we know about the release date and we have something to refer people to?

Yeah. I setup that sticky in the Windows 8.1 forum, and I'm closing similar threads and referring people to the sticky.

I removed such a thread from the 'Question and Answer' forum, but it might make sense to sticky the next such question there too. It's redundant, but that might be better than having people repeatedly ask that same question there too. Just a thought...

Yeah sounds good. Agree about the Question section too. Wonder what everyone else thinks...

Yep, this is the best way to handle it. I do think it is in the best interest of our sanity to just accept this will be a standing problem until at least the top end WP devices- 1020, 920, 1520, Icon, ATIV S Neo on Sprint, so on- get it distributed.

Then the "...I have this problem with my device since the official WP 8.1,,," threads will start. Sigh.

I was the one that set that sticky in Ask a question.
There were so many unfounded post\threads going I was trying to stash comments threads somewhere.
