Good point. But even if the iPhone or Galaxy update is only incremental, it seems to happen every year and I don't think you see critical features removed.Every iteration of the iPhone and Galaxy Devices is not something they radically changed so much as they improved on the last gen model.
With Nokia/WP it always seems like two steps forward, one step back, one step sideways. Between all the series and the carrier variants, Nokia has released like 14 different devices since I got my 920 at AT&T. Yet it looks like my 2 year contract will expire before I see a straight-up one-to-one upgrade. If Nokia had followed the iPhone/Galaxy approach, I would have seen a 930-like device (with Glance) in AT&T last holiday season- and that would have been nice. But no; we got the 1520 (one step sideways) with 16GB and no Qi (one step backwards). Then this year we might have seen a more substantial redesign of the 920, with some improvements over and above the 930. They just have too many damn devices.
I'm seriously considering the HTC now that it will apparently be available on AT&T before the end of the year.
