Where is the mute button on my Nokia 1520?

I cannot readily find how to quickly mute/unmute my phone other than turn down the volume on the adjustment button on the right hand side of my phone.

The quickest way to mute (without getting a shortcut on the start screen) is:

Use the volume button (doesn't matter which one) when the header shows up, tape the arrow on the right. Then tap the bell icon and note icon to completely mute your phone.

This works on the lockscreen.

Other than that there are apps available.

If on 8.1, single press volume (either diection) then the Ringer + Notifications drop down, press v on the right side and set to 0.
