Where is the promised SUPERPHONE from Alcatel? We are betrayed again.

I read Daniel Rubino's insight to the Elite X3 in his recent article. I wonder if Alcatel is on hold trying to refine fw/drivers in support of the 820 soc or some other optimizations. It was said that the idol 4 pro should ship with the AU OS, so I am hoping software/fw are all it is waiting on. I am waiting for this one to debut before making a decision on settling in on a new WP.

^^^ I agree. Outside of the Elite X3... I've not seen a single built for Redstone 1 device come out. Something is holding them back. I would guess optimization based on X3 experiences.

In MS's upcoming October event since they won't be showing any Surface Phone.
They should at least put their weight behind the OEM's and showcase the HP Elite X3 and this Alcatel Idol Pro 4

Looks like it's almost here then:

T-Mobile (US) Alcatel IDOL 4S with Windows 10 Mobile gets detailed in new training guide | Windows Central

I wonder if this will be demonstrated at the upcoming Microsoft Event.

I'm guessing the Fierce XL must be selling at a reasonable rate for them to go forward and bring this one out. If they can produce decent hardware, Alcatel have a chance at claiming the consumer space from the Lumias.

If T-Mobile had to train their Magenta Monkeys how to sell, or God forbid, how to work a Windows phone it'd be Christmas 2020 before we saw this thing.

Considering the training material contains typos and other error, I might be inclined to believe that.
