Where's cortana?

I have installed the technical preview on my 535. I appear to have lost cortana! I have search, not entirely sure what this is for as its not working great but cortana is m.i.a. Can it be fixed at this time?

Cortana is kind of there... will respond but not with speech. And won't do everything that she used to do - like directions. It looks like speech needs to be downloaded - but just sits there pending.
