The Verizon website says, that the M8 for Windows would only support 2 frequencies (I think 700 and 1700 mhz) , while other sites, e.g. ht.com and microsoftstore name 4 or 5 frequencies... So who is right?

@Berty6294 is right... It has 3, 4, 7 and 13 on board... Now they do not lay out the frequency range of said bands, but VZW uses band 13 - 700 (c) for their uplink and band 4 - 1700 (f) for their downlink. Many people are saying that the band 4 usage makes it T-Mo LTE compatible, but that's not really true. You may get T-Mo LTE in some areas, but you are more likely to get the HSPA+ 1900 band than grabbing the band 4 downlink.

If you are looking for US bands, these are what the carriers are using...

AT&T: band 17 - 700 (b/c), band 4 - 1700 (a/b/c/d/e), band 2 - 1900

Sprint: band 26 - 800, band 25 - 1900 (g), band 41 - 2500 (WiMax)

T-Mobile: band 12 - 700 (a), band 4 - 1700 (d/e/f), band 2 - 1900

VZW: band 13 - 700 (c), band 4 - 1700 (f)

Hope that helps!

Not entirely accurate on the VZW side. They use different frequencies within both the Band 13 (700mhz Upper C) and Band 4 (1700/2100mhz F) to do uplink and downlink, which is why the XLTE rollout was a big deal, it opened another Band (4) to devices and relieved some congestion on Band 13. According to Wikipedia, Band 13 uses 746-756mhz for downlink and 777-787mhz for uplink, while Band 4 uses 2145-2155mzh for downlink and 1745-1755m
