Which one is better the 1320 or the 730 (Special Situation)?

hey guyz, i did always following Wpcentral but this is my first post. i'm here cuz i need your helps.. i'm planning to buy a new WP device on this weekend but i cant decide between 730 and 1320.

in terms of performance: 1320 has Dual core Snapdraggon S4 but at 1.7Ghz and 730 has a Quad core Snapdraggon S400 with 1.2Ghz. based on thease video's i think 1320 is a little bit faster in app openning speedtest. let me know if i'm wrong: (i cant still use the links)

in terms of gaming performance i didn't see any issue's in both of them. right?

in terms of camera: 1320 have 5Mp and 730 have 6.7Mp. i need to know how much differents are between them and i didn't find any comparison between this two. so i'll be very appreciated if someone do this (will be better with 100% crops).

i know that 1320 is more expensive than 730, but in my country they're almost in the same price. so the expensive one must be better right? and why even 1320 costs about 100$ more than 730?

let me know what you think and one more thing is that size doesn't matter for me, all i want is know is: which one's has better camera, better display quality, better performance and more future-proof.

Well, first of all the camera: The 730 camera will outperform the 1320 in almost all cases.
The 730 has a larger camera sensor, not to mention the higher quality front facing cam.

730 also has a sharper AMOLED screen compared to 1320's LCD. AMOLEDs look nicer on Windows Phone, but that is subjective I suppose.

Also, in the world of WP raw processing speed doesn't matter much. If MS included a Snapdragon 400 in almost all their new lineup, it means that it's capable of running the vast majority of the apps on the Store.
You should care more about the newer features. The list of improvements that Denim, and whatever future update, will bring will simply be better and more optimized to run on the hardware of newer generation phones.

All in all, I would recommend the 730 over 1320, only if simply because of the superior software going forward.

I have 1320, I still recommend 730, as its better, newer, comes with latest denim, has quad core

If you are looking mainly for a 6" phone then go in for the Lumia 1320, if that is not much of a concern to you, then I would suggest going in for the Lumia 730 as it ships with the latest OS and has better specs in terms of Camera and Processor than the L1320.

1320 was launched long back. 730 price is newer, and much better. Good screen, good camera. And faster

Yeah, actually, probably all of that. Display memory for glance, camera button, larger size meaning more material cost, and I'm pretty sure the Snapdragon S4 (being an upper range SoC) would've cost them more money than the S400. Plus there was only, like what, $50 price difference between the two at launch? That's not too big a difference.

so now they can make a better phones with lower prices.
i saw 350$ at the launch and 730 is about 260$. maybe 350 was for an overpriced shop.

thanks for the response, i saw it too, there's no resuming in the 730. but remember 1320 has a much more clocked SOC 1.7Ghz. its more than 920 and 925!
BTW, based on the informations in here, more cores will be better than more clockhertz for the future.

I'm sure very soon that won't be the future either as now people are already looking at Octacore phones. With electronics there is no future. every thing gets outdated in approx a year.

Been using the 730 for two days now. Hardly any app resuming screens. WhatsApp starts faster. Switching browser screens is smoother. Would suggest 730 over 1320 unless you want a solid battery life/ that huge *** screen..

i'm using both of them, and that all depend on your reference about size. The 730 clearly has a better screen and camera, but that's all. There's some thing with the 1320 u can not get with the 730, Glance, Huge Battery life, pleasure of the 6", the 1320 is actual more reliable when u come to continuously connected, never have to worry abt the battery in the middle of day, just pick it up and go. Except the camera, any thing u can do with the 730 can be done with 1320 equally or better.

I haved the 730 for 10 days, and found out its screen is less responsive than the 1320, the Double-tap to wake fail very often, miss rate may up to 60%.

However, the 730 is still good for the price.

And remember, the Dual 1.7Ghz in the 1320 is the 2nd best of all WP device, only the 1520 and 930/Icon have better SOC than 1320

hmm, u made me reconsider the 1320 again. i know the camera in 730 is better, but i dont know how much better is.

i dont care abt glance nor screen size and most importants to me are better performance and bein more future-proof.
so u think opposite the others about the cpu, did u notice any differences in the intense games?

this is so interesting for me that u have both of them. so can u make a quick comparison between the rear camera's? and display quality if u can??

Go for L730 for sure. Newer, future proof with denim and all, better camera, cpu, gpu, screen and cheaper.

dude... don't get confuse. its WP not android..
so you can't feel any huge difference in performance in different wp devices. wp os fairly works on every hardware.
so don't think that much about performance here... you barely see performance difference here.

my suggestion is go for 730.. because it is new n future proof... so we can expect early updates than 1320.
1320 bit older variant now.. already crossed almost 1 year time period.

n 730 is well known for its cameras.. which really lavks in 1320... also you can't get such high quality screen in 1320...
1320 has high price coz it is a phablet.. it comes under phablet category n also it has 3000mah battery. such things make it expensive.

go for 730...

Nothing to be confused about. It's very simple. You choose L1320 over L730 only if you want a bigger screen. That is if you want a phablet. Not necessarily better screen but bigger. If you don't then L730 is the way to go.

Nothing to be confused about. It's very simple. You choose L1320 over L730 only if you want a bigger screen. That is if you want a phablet. Not necessarily better screen but bigger. If you don't then L730 is the way to go.

hmmm, i dont care about the size so yea, i think i should go for 730 cuz everyone had choose it over the 1320 except one.
