Who else wants Lumia 725????

Possibly. 920 and 520 already have successor in form of 925 and 525.

The 925 isn't a successor, its just a variant clad in metal, arguably a downgrade under the hood with less storage (i heard 32 GB models exist though) and no Qi.

The 525 is just a minor spec bump, although for a bargain basement phone, i don't expect too much amazingness

aah... a guy using an awesome OS.
hi buddy, i was also using Symbian Belle before WP.
a word of advice, if u wanna try, u may try any Android, but i am quite sure, u will come around to WP bcoz u are still using Symbian. (u wont be satisfied with nothing less)

we don't know whether any 725 is proposed or not yet.

Android hmm. Lets see, i am waiting for the MWC. Thinking Nokia might release some cool models. If not lol i am confused.

I think the key word here is "games". I don't play games on my 720 and installed about 20 apps that I found useful so the 8 GB of space still left me with 2.23 GB to use. I looked for a successor to my beloved N9 about 6 months ago and rejecting both Android and iPhone I decided on the 720 mainly for the long battery life and the Gorilla Glass 2.
So in my case 512 MB ram is sufficient for all my daily needs. To me my 720 is a reliable workhorse that hasn't let me down in any way.

I guess I mentioned about games at the beginning. I got my 720 in May last year when it got introduced. But you start noticing the lack of more RAM when using some apps(not games) like Camera360 for ex. It'll perform better with more RAM. I have a 920 and the loading time for Nokia Camera is noticeable. It takes much longer to load in the 720. I personally have no issues against the 720. Its almost a perfect phone. Great design, descent camera, feels great to hold. But like I said, "Almost". Would have been killer if it had 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory and a pure view cam(the one from 920 would do just fine) and 1280x768 resolution. But I'm asking too much from a mid range mobile.

Of course you're right about loading speed of certain apps. Fortunately (or maybe not) I do not have any 1GB device to compare so I'm quite used to the way my 720 behaves. I personally think that it must be one of the best mid range phones around, especially with a few extra's thrown in like wireless charging.

There's absolutely no way Microsoft/Nokia will keep WVGA for the 720 and 820 successors. Most mid ranges now have 720p or sometimes even 1080p. 1GB RAM is also guaranteed (as even the 6xx series now have it) and the CPU will likely be a Snapdragon 600 or similar. Design-wise I have nothing to complain about the 720 so they could even keep it the same :-)
Hmm... You right about the display, but I was enough with WVGA display actually. The mid-range should using 720p and the entry-level (eventually cheap $70 Lumia phone) stick with WVGA. I want 1GB planted on all future WP8.1 smartphone (eventually cheap $70 Lumia phone) so WP become the Android killer in any segment primarily on low-end. Faster performance on any segment. The four combination make Samsung ashamed with the future WP smartphone because their Android low-end becoming dwarf as cheap Lumia phone become larger (but not larger as mid-end to increase fairness). I want L730 even more thinner than L720, more space-saving on my pocket and was a handgasm for me LOL :D

why cant they put a 1 gb of ram in such a good looking sturdy phone......put a 1 gb ram ...all others are ok for me
:crying:

Now that we know 8.1 will support qHD (960 x 540) we can assume that 725 will most likely have that resolution. I really look forward to see 630 or 725 (or 730?). Kind of tired of these high end devices, I'd really like a simplier and cheaper device (smaller as well) to own. Hope it will have Snapdragon 400 CPU.

If its real that it has 1 GB RAM and 1.5 GHz processor and with the same 720 specs ....it ll be the devil that ll rule the market ...expecting it more

Nokia/Microsoft won't release any new brother to the 7xx and 8xx family, I guess.
It will be 530, 630 and 930 for now.
Maybe we could hear about a 1530, and probably a 1030.
We need other OEMs making and promoting Windows Phones.

A lumia 725/730 with 1GB of RAM, but with the same measures of the current L720 would be the perfect device! I am one who is eagerly awaiting this release! Or an L925 with support for microSD would be great!:wink:
