Who is getting the new Surface 3?

Bit the bullet and preordered from Best Buy - super excited! If anyone wants a Surface 2 with 1st Gen type cover let me know. 😃

Preordered the 4GB/128GB with type cover and pen. Was going to wait a couple more months till purchasing, but when the offer was announced for 2000 Bing reward points for preordering, I went a head and preordered now.

My 4/128 and pen is ordered and should be to me by Wednesday. I have not had a windows machine in 6+ years but when I tried it out at best buy it convinced me to give it a shot. For me the note taking pushed me to order as I will use it for school. Hoping it will last me a few years.

Throw me into the list of biters. Been watching the surface line since the RT was announced but never found the right price/feature ratio. Surface is expensive compared to cheap laptops/tablets from other OEMs, but I have had several cheap work devices fail on me (w500 digitizer failure, w700 complete POS with broken Wifi, SSD and touchscreen, Lenovo miix 8 digitizer failure due to loose power port, acer w3 screen with a total viewing angle of 20 degrees...seriously). I have huge plans for this device, and plan on convincing the boss to convert to the Surface 3 as well.

Just traded in my Surface RT at Best Buy and got the Surface 3 128Gb. Been playing with it for awhile tonight and so far so good. Will be nice to have a tablet that can run desktop programs along with the modern apps. That was the only negative I had with my Surface RT and Surface 2, no point in having desktop on those tablets.

I plan to get it. What is the general process for installing apps without an optical drive. Have some essential legacy apps.

Pre-ordered at the beginning of April. It arrived today! I've had it for about 4.5 hours. Loving it!
I have the Surface Pro 3. A good work horse, but I was exited to try the little brother. For consumer stuff, I'm liking this size.
I already have the SP3 pen and will not be needing the type cover much with the S3, mainly using it as a tablet (but still have access to my work stuff, if I need it.)
Both are great with OneDrive & OneNote.
I'm smiling!

This is my first windows machine in recent years. Have been playing around with it for a couple hours now and although it's taking some getting used to I am loving it. The capabilities with the pen is what really has me excited as a student!

Pre-ordered mine (128Gb version) yesterday. PC World (UK) had a special pre-order offer with the keyboard cover. A saving of around ?80.00. It will replace my Asus T100, which will be paid forward.

Been using this instead of my Samsung Ultrabook the past few day and I have to say, it is better than I expected. I loaded Visual Studio Community and have been doing some light coding and it works great! No complaints on the keyboard and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the pen!!! Surface 3 is a clear winner for me.

Bought two 4gb/128gb models last night - one for my wife and one for myself. Our RT based tablets were feeling slow and the pen input was an attractive option. Traded in my RT for the $100 credit and got 10% off everything with the student/teacher/staff discount.

The 10% discount is available for students, parents of students, teachers and staff... so a lot of people(and the Microsoft Store didn't ask for any verification).

I got one today, the bundle that's comes with a black keyboard and I threw in a black pen as extra. Its a sweet little machine and will be my daily driver laptop replacement.

I was the first sale of the tablet in the store, heck they hadn't even finished setting up the shop display for it when I waltzed in. I got my picture taken by another surface 3 with a red keyboard, but not applauds and tickertape parades...lol

I'm getting it. In fact I've got it. And I am so thrilled! This is the first tablet that I've ever owned.

Does anyone know if Best Buy still has the trade in deal and for how much? Or what is the best trade in deal currently? I'm debating what to do with my Surface 2.

I will buy it, just waiting for some deal, here in Italy the 4GB is at 729€ plus type cover and pen and I have to spend 939€, upgrade to Windows 8.1 pro and I'm near 1.000€, too much, really too much :(
Anyway I saw it this morning in a mall and it wonderfull, light and small, really what I want to replace my Ativ Smart PC

I had pre-ordered one with a blue cover and pen about a month ago. Picked it up on release day and got the cover in the mail the same day. Great little machine, but I'm still trying to determine my best use for it since I also have a newer Macbook Pro.

It was a little expensive for what it is, but the 10.8" screen is very nice. I have a 8" Windows 8 tablet I really like for browsing and whatnot but it's too small to do real work on and I need an external keyboard. The type cover keyboard is actually pretty good, but about the smallest I could really use for much work.
