October 31 I pre-order Surface 4 i7 16GB RAM ? 1449 ?. Ships by - 10 December. But yesterday 02 December I received an email from Microsoft ?authorise payment? and mobile confirm from my bank the purchase for an amount in 1449 ?. So I again confirms. The money was locked into my account or transferred to Microsoft. In any case they disappeared from my account.
My question is, whether it is right that one week before shipment, Microsoft are collected money, while Microsoft announces email ? ?Please note that your account won't be charged until your order actually ships ?.
Nobody guarantees that they would send me the Surface to 10 December, so I can wait any time, but I lost access to my money .
What do you think about ?

I think that means your Surface is starting the process of being shipped right now. I pre-ordered and they didn't take my money until the shipping process started.

I have been thinking about it for some time wanting a surface pro 4. Today I am no longer thinking, just minutes ago, I made an online purchase of the surface pro 4; 256 i5. I am to receive it on Christmas eve.

I had an i5, 4GB ram, 128GB SSD, SP3 previously. I sold it after two months. It was a nice machine, but it was a meh type of experience. My graphics programs seem to tax it a bit too much. However, I loved the display. I just ordered the SP4, i5, 8GB ram, 256 SSD. Hopefully I don't have too many issues.

I bought a Surface Pro 4 about a month ago - I had to reload Windows 10 Pro, re-install the SP4 drivers and set it up the way I wanted it. The out-of-box experience was a nightmare for most, tons of returns, issues, Microsoft issued an apology it was so bad. But I have to say that my SP4 i7 - is a BEAST of a machine! I am very, very satisfied with the machine as a whole. It handles anything I throw at it with ease.

I went to a German version of Best Buy and talked with the Microsoft Rep - Of course he was bias to Microsoft and said it should have been Intel that issued the apology - But I have to disagree. The name of the machine is Microsoft Surface Pro - Not Intel....Anyhow after a heated debate he gave me an extra keyboard for free and took my IT/PC business card to hand out to people that come in with issues. Here in Germany one can't just breeze into the store they bought the machine from and ask for an exchange. I mean sure you can try, and maybe sometimes succeed, but usually the store will direct you to the manufacture and say, "not our issue".

Overall - Microsoft has made an OUTSTANDING product. When you consider the fact that they managed to put a full blown Intel i7 into a tablet and it rarely overheats (mine hasn't yet), and the fact that it runs like a raped ape - I'd say Microsoft deserves to be at the top of the Tablet Food Chain.

I hope I manage to win one as it's quite an expensive PC, lol, though if I won't win one I will most probably buy me one as I realised that purchasing an Atom processor powered 2 in 1 was not a good idea at all.

I usually replace my computers every 4 years ,so I'd be due in 2018!!! Just in time for project alloy to come thru or hololens to become finally available at consumer prices. Even something like a really good continuum phone with a mixed reality hololens-type accessory might make me buy one before 2018.

Until then, I'd absolutely LOVE it if somebody gave me one

I have a low end Celron PC now. Having a Surface pro could help me in my studies. Its faster and most useful is that I can carry it around. And i love drawing. Hope i win it.
