Who's getting the 640XL

So I have had this phone for 3 days now, and I cant say enough good things about it and the Denim update. Now to be fair, my old phone was and HTC 8x, so its a big jump on many levels. Great awesome phone.

Deleted original post to avoid double post! But I'm thinking of getting one 😊 when it's available in the US... have no idea when that will be, unfortunately.

Its available now if you look outside of the carriers. I ordered mine from B&H and it will be here Thursday. I also have a 930 on its way, so ill have a decision to make in a few weeks...

I'm thinking of ditching my 830 in favor of the XL. but I'm scared. Love my 830! Plus, if I do get the XL, this will be my third Windows phone in the past month and a half... Yeah. I've got mental problems.
I would get the unlocked version, but I see it costs more than my 830 did, so I'm a bit reluctant. Waiting to see what the carriers charge, if any less.

Just got my dual sim XL for T mobile. It replaced my old 925. It's a huge phone, it's nice to watch HD vids. Battery life is very nice. Getting a 64gb card soon. Love the orange...

I've just switched from my 930 that I've had 3 days to my 640xl, that has been waiting for three days in the box.

I thought the 930 was great until today, when on heavy use the battery consumption was waay too high.

Anyway, so far I am loving the xl. LTE works on AT&T here in Denver, and I've not noticed any glitches oh or performance issues.

Got one already for the Mrs. The size was an initial shock for her as she had a 4.3" screen prior with the Lumia 820. However, the shock of the size gave way quickly! She loves both the front facing and back cameras. The phone is very nice! The tradeoff's presented to keep the phone price reasonable is done well. We are both happy with the price and the value provided.

Just walked over to the Microsoft store and purchased. Changing from a 920. The thing is so light compared to a 920. I like the screen. I was afraid that it might seem low res, but it looks good to my eyes.

Got my 640XL Dualsim LTE 4 days ago - cyan - love it.
Light, quick and screen is fine. 5.7" is the largest I think any phone should go
No glitches. It's my first dualism WP and I really like it.
I have the big daddy 1520 for about 18months and was planning on selling that off when flagship Lumia's come out soon but I have to say the 640XL is fantastic value for the money and I am about to let my 1520 go to gather in funds.
Oh. And cyan is really cool

Just got the 640 XL to replace a dropped iPhone.

I have to say its a very nice phone especially at the competitive UK retail price.

Being able to use it at work on BYOD is very useful. The cameras and screens are nice - better than I anticipated.

The Windows mobile OS works well and is more intuitive than I expected too. I'm not overly bothered about the lack of apps - the ones I need seem to be there. Battery life is very impressive too.

Its also a damn good telephone with crisp clear calls both ways.

Sorry but this lifelong Windows hater really is quite smitten.....I may have to go and buy a Windows PC with W10 when it come out.

Well done Microsoft. Its a shame you took so long to get there - now all you need to do is hook more mobile users.

I am in Florida & I just bought this phone Monday & love it! When I first saw it about a week ago online I thought it would be too big, but when I actually held it in the AT&T store I thought differently. The phone I had before was a Samsung Neo & the screen started going black from overheating. It's nice to have the bigger screen & the cameras are so much better. The battery is also double the capacity of the NEO. This comes in real handy at work texting with field employees in our construction company. It came out of the box running Lumia Denim. It's great to have a smart phone that does exactly what you want without the extra price of an iPhone or limited storage. I have a 128GB MicroSD card in it & I have everything set to download to the card. I just received a clear TPU case from Amazon for $6. But you also have the option to change the Lumia OEM back cover. They sell several other colors. Mine came with black so I am staying with that at least for now. As for wireless charging, I'm not sure if the phone has a different cover that allows this. But I don't recommend it because my old Lumia 820 phone got so hot. I think that's why the 820 screen got messed up. The phone still works but on the screen there is a little of the keypad burnt on the screen like you sometimes see on PC monitors. I'm sticking to the old fashion plug & charge way.

I have had Windows Phones for years & this is a great addition to the Lumia line. My mom saw it & is thinking about upgrading her Lumia 820. If the phone is available in your area, I highly recommend it.
