Why 929? Shouldn't it be higher?

I think the lumia 929 looks pretty sweet. But I think it should have a higher number than a 900 range. How about an 1120 or something closer to 1520? I think the number is going to make the typical consumer think it is marginally better than the current 928. They may even think it is the same phone, because people are dumb. Nokia and Verizon should have thought about this a bit more. Here's to hoping the leaks regarding the name are wrong.

The people that actually pay attention to model #'s will also pay attention to specs, so it won't matter to them. The people that don't know specs are the people that shop in store and get whatever is "prettiest". Haha.

I can't imagine anyone ever saying, "Man, I really wanted this phone until I saw the model number...". Model number is really pretty meaningless. Its still the highest # Verizon will offer until a new phone.

Well who knows, it can change. Lumia 1020 for example was apparently Lumia 909 (homage for 808 PureView) almost till the launch, why you see the 909 on settings or even on the hardware in the SIM slot.

I agree people will only know it as the Nokia.
