Why am I not able to update to Windows 10?

Windows 7 Home Premium - 64 bit, India.

Get Windows 10 App says it will notify me about the upgrade when it is ready. I have tried the wuauclt.exe /updatenow thing but it makes no difference.

I thought of cancelling my reservation and re-reserve, but I am afraid that after cancelling once, will I be able to reserve it again?
What options do I have? I did not find any such scenario over the internet. Either there is no Get Windows 10 app, or the command line for update worked. Can someone help?

Also, in case someone tells me the solution, is it fine to use Windows 10 on an i3-370M - 2.4Ghz Processor with 6GB RAM and ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5470 Graphic Card?

Installing Windows 10 using the media creation tool - Windows Help contains the answer.

Use the media creation tool. select the first option, "ugrade this pc now" and you'll be good to go
