Why am I only able to text a few people (no problem receiving)?

Only able to text a few people (no problem receiving)

ok so i had an error with windows 10 mobile where it always said I had one new text message that I received a long time ago. decided to go back to 8.1 and upgrade again. Now the problem has gone away but for some strange reason. I cant send messages to certain contacts.

Every time i try to send a text to my finance it says unable to send ( thank you Facebook messenger for working )

But I am able to text my sister and i know at least one other contact. They have even replied so i know they received the message as well.

I would rather not have to go back to 8.1 and install again so any advice is welcome. Surely as i can send some texts i wont have to.

Unfortunately I don't see any way to uninstall the Messaging app. So that leaves you with a limited number of options. These are the top three that come to mind for me. Someone else may think of another option to try.

1. Try a Soft Reset (Hold power button until prompted to turn off the phone). Might want to try this a few times before doing anything else.
2. Try a Hard Reset (Settings -> System -> About -> Reset your phone)
3. If both of those fail, then rolling back to 8.1 and checking for a firmware update might be another option.

i found out what i did i changed my sms centre number. I though it was meant to be mine but then researched it. Feel a bit stupid now
