Why am I unable to load videos from pc to Lumia 435 sd card?

Loading videos from pc to lumia 435 sd card

l have just bought a Lumia 435 windows phone and am trying to load videos to sd card to play in moliplayer, some will play and others wont. Does anybody know what l am doing wrong please.

Could you check the format of the video files you're copying to the SD Card of your phone, and compare those formats with the supported file formats of MoliPlayer?

Hi, They are mostly mp4 and avi.

Mostly? What are the formats of the rest?

Also, would you happen to notice the file formats of the videos that won't play? Take note of their file sizes as well - my experience is that videos larger than 4GB can't be played in my phone (whether using the default player or some other video app).

All the videos are either mp4 or avi and no more than 800mb. l think the problem is how l am loading them. l am new to windows phones and just trying to get my husbands videos set up for him. l have looked for better instructions for moliplayer but have not found any that give me basic instructions.

Are you (or is your husband) open to using a different video player app? VLC by VideoLab seems to be pretty reliable - I personally prefer this over other video apps - it's the "official" VLC app for Windows Phones. You could try this one and see if the videos would work properly. It's also free.

Thanks for helping me. My husband uses VLC player on his desktop and would prefer to use this. Would VLC pick videos up from the sd card and do they need to go in camera roll?

You're welcome. From my testing, VLC was able to play videos that are in the SD Card - VLC just seems to enumerate all the videos that it can play regardless of where the videos are saved, even if the videos are in a custom folder.
