Why am I unable to update?

Not able to update

An update was available to download.When i went to the update setting and tapped 'check for updates' it is stuck on checking for updates screen.everything works fine.but when i opened the update screen,it is still showing the same message even after 3-4 hours.I even rebooted it.but the problem still persists

Toggle Airplane (Flight) Mode to on... Soft Reset (better than just a reboot) by holding the Volume Down + Power buttons until the phone vibrates and reboots. This takes about ten seconds and the clears the system memory. Once the phone boots, toggle Airplane to off.
